Progress Continues on Clinton’s Waters Edge Assisted Living

The new Waters Edge Assisted Living in Clinton continues to move forward with most of the initial ground work, footings, and foundation walls completed.  Plumbing rough-ins will begin soon and progress is moving forward as scheduled.  The new facility will be 23,000 square feet and have 20 units (19 living units and one guest room), featuring 405 to 880 square feet rooms, each with a private bathroom. The design will include a commercial kitchen, dining area, fireside room, sunroom, laundry, beauty parlor, storage, and a modest space that will be leased to Ortonville Area Health Services for use as a satellite clinic, replacing the current Clinton Clinic building which will be sold.

The Board of Directors is announcing that they are now accepting applications/names for a waiting list for the new facility.  Current tenants of the Clinton Care Center will have priority to the new facility rooms.  Rooms in the Care Center facility are currently available as well for those that might be ready to move in before winter and be guaranteed room options in the new building.  After the current tenants have selected their new suite or apartment, those on the waiting list will be contacted next to select their option.   The fee to be placed on the Waters Edge waiting list is $100.00.

Waters Edge is an Assisted Living Plus facility providing quality, affordable assisted care in a family oriented environment.  Tenants pay rent for their choice of living options for our 1 and 2 bedroom apartments or studio and deluxe studio suites.  Other services offered are based on an a la carte basis with fees based on the services.   The online application form for the waiting list can be found on this by clicking on this link. Forms may also be requested by sending an email to or by calling the Care Center at 320-325-5414.

The new facility which is scheduled to open in July 2021, is being funded in part by a large donation from the Delhart and Elvira Anderson estate, a $160,000 Rural Development Community Facility Grant and a USDA Rural Development Community Facilities program.   See advertisement in this issue.  Waters Edge Assisted Living is an equal opportunity employer and provider.
